Association of Corporate Treasurer (ACT) “talkingtreasury” conference in Hong Kong – October 21, 2008

The ACT and HKACT with the support of IACCT (China) are delighted to be bringing the seventh in the talkingtreasury series to Hong Kong.
|
Led by panels of treasury practitioners, this forum provides a platform to discuss treasury best practice and debate real issues facing the profession today. The aim of this forum is to provide an opportunity to:
- Share experiences
- Network
- Debate key treasury issues
- Help define best practice
Key themes include:
- Global financial meltdown and the consequences for company boards and treasury management in Asia
- Competing pressures of growth v inflation: impact on corporates and on risk management
- Risk vs reward – what lessons can we learn from the credit crisis?
- The role of the treasurer in a high growth, diverse region
IACCT China was the supporting organization for this both informative and interactive conference. Many IACCT Committee members were invited to take part in various sessions, sharing experiences with corporate treasurers in and around Hong Kong. IACCT China also set up an information desk with student ambassadors introducing the Association to delegates at the conference.
